10. Pressing On

Introduction

Over two million people left Egypt to go to the Promised Land after God performed signs and wonders through the ministry of Moses. Out of the people over twenty years old, only two of them entered the Promised Land. What went wrong? Some lost sight of the vision, others lacked discipline, others became distracted and focused on other goals. Only Joshua and Caleb pressed on through the challenges and enjoyed the blessing of obtaining the promise of God. If we are to be effective leaders, we need to have the same singleness of vision, devotion, and discipline that characterised Joshua and Caleb's lives.

This study completes the first module of the Effective Leadership Programme, and looks at how we can press on to accomplish God's purposes for our lives.
