Conclusion

J.B. Phillips wrote a book called "Your God is too small". That is true for all of us. If we fail to expand our thinking and understanding, we will fail to grasp God's vision for our lives and live below the potential He has placed within us. We need the deep, inner transformation of who we are through the radical reformation of our thinking by the Holy Spirit, in order to be all that God wants us to be and do all that God wants us to do. This reformation takes place as we partner with the Holy Spirit by investing in private disciplines that will transform our "mental maps". Then the "reality" that we see will be closer to the Reality that God desires.

"However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" - but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God." (1 Corinthians 2:9-10)
